Burgui Gorge
The Burgui gorge is situated to the south of Burgui village, carved by the erosion of the River Ezca. Sitting on the border between Navarre and Aragon, it is a nature reserve where a wide variety of vegetation (hairy oak, kermes-oak, gall-oak, box tree and, in the southern region of the Ribera, willow and poplar trees) and animals (a colony of griffon vultures, lammergeyers, European honey-buzzards, red kite, short-toed eagles and hobbies all stand out) can be found. There is a path running along the gorge which allows visitors to reach a small viewpoint from where a number of different types of birds from the area can be seen.
|
| The nature reserve includes the area of the gorge situated in the Navarre territory, only a third of the entire canyon, which ends at the village of Salvatierra de Esca. |

Garde Walnut Tree
This 200 year old tree is considered to be a monument to nature and can be found at the entrance to the village of Garde. Its formidable presence and size make it stand out.

Valle de Belabarce
From the road running from Isaba to France, barely 3 km from the aforementioned village, there is a small secondary road on the right hand side which leads to the Belabarce valley. This open space of outstanding natural beauty is known for its tranquillity and silence. It is a small valley which appears to have escaped the pressures of tourism always acquainted with the Roncal valley.
The River Belabarce playfully snakes the entire valley, fertilizing the abundant fields of harvest, potato and pastureland which lie on the flat ground. The shepherds’ huts (las bordas) give the landscape a human touch.
|
| The length of the impressive Ezhaurre cliff (2047 m.) delimits this peaceful valley on the southern side. Wild pine trees in the sunny spots and beech-fir woods in the shady areas make up part of this important forest reserve whose tracks and paths are still trodden by the Lord of the Forest, the brown bear. |

Mintxate
Found between Isaba and Uztarroz, this small 200 m. long gorge, which leads to the valley of the same name, can either be walked or ridden by mountain bike along a 15 km. path. On the vertical rock faces, a small colony of griffon vultures can be spotted. In springtime, the melting of the snow creates a delightful, white-water cascade in the gully.

River Ezka
The river Ezka winds its way through the Roncal valley from north to south. This river, with its typically characteristic high-altitude descent, has always been linked to the economic development of the valley as it has been used as a route down for timber felled further up in the mountains. From an environmental perspective, the river has a high level of conservation and a wide variety of wildlife can be found in and around its waters, such as trout, barbels, Iberian nase and others.
